Job summary

Praetorian Power Protection, a leader in NETA testing and staff augmentation, seeks a Commissioning Engineer with mechanical focus for a Fargo, ND datacenter site. You will plan, execute, and oversee commissioning of mechanical systems to meet project specs and safety standards.

With 3+ years of commissioning experience, you will troubleshoot, document, and ensure systems are fully operational before handover, collaborating with PMs, engineers, and contractors in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer with a focus in mechanical.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, and industrial equipment.
• Proven ability to manage commissioning from planning to completion.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (ASME, ANSI).

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee commissioning of mechanical systems, meeting specs and standards.
• Test, troubleshoot, and validate mechanical equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to meet milestones.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, including reports, checklists, and schedules.
• Ensure systems are fully operational and meet performance before handover.
• Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize delays.
• Adhere to safety protocols and promote on-site safety.
