Job summary

DataBank Holdings Ltd. is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician Supervisor to oversee onsite DCT personnel across multiple sites. You will monitor infrastructure, coordinate maintenance, and ensure security and safety standards.

You will work closely with maintenance teams, manage contractors, optimize performance, and support customers with sustained uptime. This role requires strong communication, mentoring abilities, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced data center environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data center experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong supervisory and people-management abilities.
• Ability to train individuals on an as-needed basis.
• Mentor colleagues to facilitate career advancement.
• Experience with shipping/receiving and daily operational duties.
• Experience responding to infrastructure events (power, cooling) and break-fix issues.
• Experience coordinating electrical and mechanical contractor work.
• Familiarity with NetSuite for purchase orders.
• Experience training DCTs to document daily site walkthroughs.
• LEED certification is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily duties of onsite DCT personnel across multiple sites.
• Monitor infrastructure on site and raise escalations as needed.
• Develop, schedule, and monitor a preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain safe, clean site conditions and health standards.
• Coordinate contractor activities for electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers at facilities.
• Plan equipment needs to improve efficiency or reduce costs.
• Manage and evaluate PUE via the BMS system.
• Oversee construction projects with internal teams and local contractors.
• Assist move-in with customers after construction.
• Enforce security policies by all DCTs.
• Monitor infrastructure via BMS and troubleshoot problems.
• Train DCTs on BMS and Emergency Response Procedures; monthly tests.
• Manage weekly schedules for 24x7x365 coverage and on‑call list.
• Ensure video surveillance runs 24/7.

Work Hours & Physical Demands

This position requires the applicant to be available for any shift as part of a 24×7 coverage rotation. The role involves prolonged computer use, work in an area with normal office noise and occasional construction noise, and occasional outside environments such as docks, roofs, and equipment enclosures. Exposure to typical U.S. climatic conditions and typical workplace hazards may occur.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day duties of the onsite DCT personnel across one or multiple sites.
• Ensure monitoring of all infrastructure on site and raise escalations as needed.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance team to develop, schedule, and monitor a preventative maintenance program.
• Keep the site clean and maintain a safe and healthy condition for employees.
• Oversee and coordinate contractor activities for electrical and mechanical system maintenance, inspect completed work, and maintain documentation.
• Maintain positive relationships with all customers/clients at their facilities.
• Recommend, plan, and implement equipment needs to improve production efficiency or reduce costs.
• Manage and evaluate PUE via the BMS system to ensure efficient facility operation.
• Oversee infrastructure‑related construction projects managed by internal teams and built by local contractors.
• Work with customers during move‑in following construction of their environment.
• Ensure all security policies are adhered to by all DCTs for compliance.
• Close monitor infrastructure components through the BMS system to identify, report, and troubleshoot problems.
• Train DCTs on the functionality of the BMS system and on Databank’s Emergency Response Procedures; conduct monthly testing.
• Manage weekly work schedules for 24×7×365 coverage and maintain an on‑call list.
• Ensure the video surveillance system is operating and that DCTs are monitoring the facility 24/7/365.

• Experience responding to infrastructure events (power, cooling, etc.) and break‑fix issues.
• Experience calling in mechanical and electrical contractors for repairs.
• Experience training DCTs on using NetSuite to issue purchase orders.
• Experience training DCTs to document daily site walkthroughs.
• Ability to support customer needs as required.
• LEED certification is a bonus but not required.
