PRT Staffing in the United States is seeking Journeyman Low Voltage Electricians for a data center project in Santa Teresa, NM. The role involves installing low-voltage and telecommunications infrastructure, reading drawings, and coordinating daily installation activities.

This long-term, full-time opportunity offers $65 per hour with a $150 daily per diem, overtime, and a large-scale project with multiple openings (50 technicians).

Qualifications

• Active journeyman electrician license required.
• Experience in electrical/low-voltage/telecommunications or commercial construction.
• Ability to read construction drawings and installation instructions.
• Work effectively with construction crews and other trades.
• Strong safety and quality standards on jobsite.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime as needed.
• Able to pass background checks, drug screening, and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support low-voltage and telecommunications installations within a data center construction environment.
• Work with crews installing fiber optic and copper cabling systems.
• Assist with installation of cable pathways, racks, cabinets, patch panels, and infrastructure.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and installation specifications.
• Coordinate daily installation activities and support project schedules.
• Ensure installations meet project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving installation issues.
• Work alongside fiber optic specialists and other trades to support project completion.
• Maintain daily progress reports and installation documentation.
