Job summary

Standard Calibrations, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Quality Assurance/Quality Controls Specialist to survey and audit sensors and devices in construction environments.

The role involves diagnosing complex control system malfunctions and troubleshooting hardware across data centers. You will review equipment data for efficiency, ensure installation quality, and support audit processes while coordinating with contractors and the global automation team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of controls experience in central plants, air handling units, and evaporative cooling/humidification systems sensor and instrumentation.
• Working knowledge of critical environments' mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems.
• Experience interpreting and auditing blueprints/CAD drawings and control diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Survey and audit Instrument and Control sensors and devices in a construction environment.
• Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of electronic or digital control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair control hardware, including controllers, relays, measurement devices, actuators, etc.
• Review operating equipment data for efficiency improvements and communicate the data professionally to a group.
• Review quality control of hardware installation for new construction and retrofits.
• Provide controls audit scope and review processes for improvement.
• Provide technical controls training and support to data center operations staff.
• Collaborate with the global automation and optimization team to implement initiatives at the data center.
• Communicate all issues and upcoming audit work with construction contractors.
• Other duties as required to support the operation of customer data centers.
• Sixty percent or more of travel is required.
