Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer in Washington, DC to design, implement, monitor, and manage enterprise data center environments. You will handle compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and power/environmental systems to ensure reliability and security.

The role requires a current TS/SCI clearance, a relevant engineering degree with years of experience, and certifications like VCP-DCV.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field with 8+ years experience; Master’s 6+ years; PhD 3+ years; exceptions possible.
• VCP-DCV or equivalent data center certification.
• DoD 8140/8570 compliant.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco CUCM, WebEx, and Teams.
• Strong independent and collaborative work in mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor, and manage enterprise data center infrastructure.
• Administer compute, storage, virtualization, networking, and related systems.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and availability for reliability.
• Manage server hardware, storage platforms, virtualization, and network connectivity.
• Perform patches, upgrades, and migrations.
• Configure routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers.
