Job summary

AWS is seeking Infra Delivery Install Technicians to join a diverse team that builds and sustains network infrastructure for AWS data centers. This role focuses on moving and installing large enterprise equipment, installing comprehensive cabling, and ensuring safety and security during cabling activities.

The position requires travel between data center sites, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in 24/7 environments with potential training assignments at alternative facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Experience in computer networking and with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• 2+ years in data center or similar environments (in hardware repair, cabling, network deployment, or operations).
• 2+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment experience (VFL, power meter, OTDR).

Responsibilities

• Move and install large enterprise equipment.
• Install fiber and copper cabling and patching between equipment.
• Maintain safety and security standards during cabling and installation.
• Follow established hardware installation procedures and complete break-fix activities.
• Travel within the regional work area; have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license for travel; company transport not provided.
