Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling in Madison is seeking an Assembler I to produce and assemble air units and parts according to specifications. Under supervision of Manufacturing Operations, you will assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts and electrical components using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment.

You will align, calibrate and adjust parts to meet tolerances and ensure safe operation. You must be able to read blueprints and follow instructions, operate tools, and maintain a clean,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of assembly or construction experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and fork trucks with training.
• Able to apply torque with hand tools and read drawings.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints, routers and specifications to assemble parts accurately.
• Performs assembly using hand or power tools and checks tolerances.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and follows safety regulations.
• Supports Lean initiatives and teamwork within manufacturing.
