About the role:

CBRE is looking for a Data Center Program Manager to lead the global program upgrade/retrofit projects impacting the critical infrastructure and MEPS Infrastructure for the client’s data center portfolio. The DCPM leads multi-disciplinary projects and is responsible for identifying the program requirements, engaging with internal customers, and supporting the program through the entire project lifecycle. This role will expect 15%-20% of travel nationwide.

What you’ll do:

  1. Lead the upgrades/retrofit construction project program process administration across the project portfolio, focusing on the ability to lead multiple programs simultaneously over multiple global locations.
  2. Develop program budget, cash flow, and commitment, and get approval on spend working with the client’s Cost Control team.
  3. Lead cross-functional teams and run multiple simultaneous programs with contending priorities.
  4. Engage with experts and key partners to initiate new programs, including developing program documentation.
  5. Identify process and communications gaps, while developing and driving solutions to implement data center programs.
  6. Work with technical experts and key collaborators to continually improve communications between cross-functional teams.
  7. Draft program reporting for client management reviews, including providing health of program schedule, budget, and performance, identifying key risks and program opportunities.
  8. Update quarterly forecast, budget spend status, and get management approval on funding requests.
  9. Develop plans for improved field execution and delivery across project constraints of schedule, efficiency, and costs.
  10. Provide project execution guidance throughout the end-to-end project lifecycle with the ability to assess potential construction workarounds to avoid project slips.
  11. Lead team, including key collaborators, project controls team, contractors, and A&E design team to create and establish the Master Project Schedule and Master Project Budget.
  12. Evaluate technical issues and develop potential solutions for review with key stakeholders.
  13. Support Design Team activities by participating in schematic and design development reviews.
  14. Support data center site teams as needed with contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis, and recommendations.
  15. Participate in constructability reviews of the project documents.
  16. Provide input to site teams on Value Engineering efforts.
  17. Lead project teams in developing, assessing, and evaluating program and project risks.
  18. Handle program costs and change controls.
  19. Handle program dashboards and monthly program updates, securing updates from site teams.
  20. Create and maintain lessons learned log for programs.
  21. Ensure program level document control processes are in place.
  22. Ensure QA/QC is being followed and report any issues/gaps.
  23. Coordinate and manage all Owner-direct vendors working with supply chain and consultants.
  24. Establish close out documentation requirements and distribute to the site teams.

What you’ll need:

  1. Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  2. Experience with construction related to data center construction or critical environment experience as a project manager or program manager.
  3. Strong change management experience in development, implementation, and execution.
  4. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite products. Experience with Primavera P6 is a plus.
  5. Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.
  6. Passionate about solving complex challenges with timelines.
  7. Excellent technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills required. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

Compensation: The minimum salary for this position is $170,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $215,000 annually. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend’s applicable benefit program. This role provides benefits including 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
