Job summary

Hanley Energy is seeking a Data Center Field Technician to join our USA team. You will be the on-site technical ambassador at customer facilities, supporting energy management systems, switchgear, UPS, and power generation equipment to ensure uptime and reliability.

You will perform site visits, troubleshoot equipment, collect operational data, and coordinate with customers to identify needs and deliver hands-on technical solutions in fast-paced data center environments.

Qualifications

• Technical or military/trade school training or equivalent.
• Experience in a Data Center or critical environment.
• 2+ years of electrical and/or mechanical work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid leadership and organizational skills.
• High energy with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failure.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.
• Take operational readings of equipment.
• Utilize CMMS to manage building workflows.
• Meet with customers to identify data center building needs and gather requirements.
• Administrative tasks including data entry in Excel and creating work orders.
• Maintain power and cooling of the facility and ensure clean rooms for critical environments.
