Job summary

Next Level Technician seeks a Data Center Project Assistant / BDM in Charlotte, NC to oversee and manage data center cabling, fiber optic, and low-voltage infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has direct experience supervising data center construction and coordinating with general contractors and owner representatives.

On-site leadership is essential to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising data center construction projects.
• Experience coordinating with GC, electrical contractors, owner reps.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optics.
• Ability to lead teams and manage schedules and safety.
• On-site field leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations for data center, fiber optic, structured cabling, and low-voltage infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with general contractors, electrical contractors, project managers, owner representatives, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage site schedules, manpower planning, and material coordination.
• Ensure all work is performed according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Lead and supervise field technicians, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Conduct site walkthroughs, progress meetings, and safety meetings.
• Identify and resolve project challenges while minimizing delays and disruptions.
• Monitor project milestones and provide regular status updates to operations and leadership teams.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and field records.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence on all job sites.
