Team Fishel is hiring Data Center Technicians for the South Bend, IN area. The role focuses on cable installations of voice, data, fiber, and coax, with fusion splicing and testing responsibilities.

On-the-job safety training is provided, and prior construction experience is a plus. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in telecom or related fields, ability to supervise others, and proficiency with fusion splicing/optical testing equipment, blueprints, and testing documents.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years in telecommunications or related technical field with supervisory ability.
• Experience with fusion splicing and optical testing equipment and blueprint interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Splice fiber optic cables of various types and sizes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems.
• Review maps, drawings, and testing documents.
• Perform daily tests and maintenance of splicing/testing equipment.
• Conduct optical continuity and conformance testing.
• Make splicing adjustments in diverse work locations.
