About the role:

The “Data Center FEP Senior Program Manager” manages global program upgrade/retrofit projects impacting the critical and Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural infrastructure for a client’s data center portfolio. The Data Center Senior Program Manager leads sophisticated, multi-disciplinary projects and is responsible for identifying the program requirements, engaging with internal customers, and supporting the program through the entire project lifecycle.

What you'll do:

Manage the upgrades/retrofit construction project program process administration across the portfolio. Focus is on ability to lead multiple projects at one time over multiple global locations

Develop program budget, cash flow and dedication and get approval on spend working with the client’s Cost Control team

Lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple simultaneous programs with competing priorities simultaneously

Identify process and communications gaps, while developing and driving solutions to implement data center programs

Draft program reporting for client management reviews, including providing health of program schedule, budget, and performance, identifying key risks and program opportunities thru metrics, feedback and other crucial tools.

Update quarterly forecast, budget spend status and get management approval on funding requests

Develop plans for improved field execution and delivery across project constraints of schedule, efficiency, and costs

Lead team, including key collaborators / project controls team / Contractor(s) / A&E design team to build and establish the 1) Master Project Timeline, based on the Critical Path and key turning points and 2) Master Project Budget, including soft costs and hard costs

Supports Design Team activities by participating in schematic and design development reviews

Support data center site teams as needed with contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations

Manage program dashboards and monthly program updates. The Program Manager is responsible for securing updates from site teams and coordinating

Establish and maintain lessons learned log for programs

Ensure program level document control processes are in place and being followed

Coordination and management of all Owner-direct vendors working with supply chain and consultants

Establish closeout documentation and follow formal Program Management methods / standard methodologies

What you'll need:

  • At least 3+ years of previous data center infrastructure or critical environment experience as a project manager or program manager

  • 6-8 years of PMO experience

  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems

  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality programs

  • Passionate about solving sophisticated challenges with aggressive timelines

  • Strong change management experience in development, implementation, and execution

  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, and analytical abilities required. Excellent written and oral communications skills required

  • Proven track record in talent assessment

  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal presentation skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and quickly-changing environment Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in one of the following:

  • Strong applied experience in Business Administration, Construction Management, and Project Management

  • Technical Project Management or Coordination

  • Experience with construction related to data center construction or heavy industrial work involving sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems

  • Standard business applications and tools 2 ○ Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Drawings, Hangouts, etc. ○ Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoin

  • Scheduling application: Primavera P6 is helpful

Turner & Townsend carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $175,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $200,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
