Job summary

Salute is seeking a Data Center Facilities Technician to join our team and support on-site electrical and mechanical maintenance at client facilities, focusing on non-critical tasks as directed by the Client Project Manager. The role includes shift options and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include HVAC, Critical Facility Maintenance, and Construction finishing.
• Proficiency in a range of maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general area cleanup to maintain a tidy environment.
• Conduct touch-up painting to maintain aesthetic appeal.
• Manage tool inventory and ensure tools are maintained.
• Undertake door repairs and sign mounting as required.
• Execute minor electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
• Handle minor plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks.
• Perform basic minor carpentry tasks to repair or improve structures.
• Address industrial cleaning tasks and perform light-duty mechanical tasks.
• Monitor and replace HVAC filters and lighting in designated areas.
• Assist in hanging wall art and shelving; dismantle and install furniture as needed.
• Set up and take down tables and chairs for events.
• Perform snow removal and assist with landscaping.

Data Center Facility Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Data Center Facilities Technician to provide building maintenance services to our client's facilities. The selected candidate will support on-site electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs, focusing on non-critical aspects of the buildings and grounds as directed by the Client Project Manager or designated personnel.

Location: Mccarran-Sparks Nevada - approximately 7 miles down USA Parkway

Shift Schedule (1): Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Shift Schedule (2): "4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off" Front-half and Back-half of the week 7:00am-7:00pm

Shift Schedule (3): "4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off" Front-half and Back-half of the week Nights 7:00pm-7:00am

Responsibilities

General Maintenance Tasks

• Perform general area cleanup to maintain a tidy and organized environment.
• Conduct touch-up painting as needed to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the facility.
• Manage tool inventory and ensure tools are maintained in good working condition.
• Undertake door repairs and handle the mounting of signage as required.

Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry Tasks

• Execute minor electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs and addressing minor electrical issues.
• Handle minor plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks and addressing drainage issues.
• Perform basic minor carpentry tasks to repair or improve building structures and fixtures.

Industrial Cleaning and Mechanical Tasks

• Address specific or immediate industrial cleaning tasks as needed to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Undertake light-duty mechanical tasks to ensure equipment and systems are functioning optimally.

HVAC and Lighting Maintenance

• Monitor and replace HVAC filters and light bulbs in designated areas to ensure efficient operation and lighting.

Furniture and Event Setup

• Assist in hanging wall art and shelving to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the facility.
• Dismantle and install furniture and cabinets as needed for reorganization or renovations.
• Set up and take down tables and chairs for special meetings or events as directed.

Seasonal Tasks

• Perform snow removal during the winter season to maintain safe access to the facility.
• Assist with landscaping and clean-up tasks to enhance the outdoor areas of the facility.

Special Projects

• Handle carpet cleaning or replacement projects as required.
• Undertake other tasks and special projects designated by the Client Project Manager or designated personnel.

Qualifications

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Minimum 1 year of experience in building maintenance or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in HVAC,Critical Facility Maintenance, and Construction Finishing are a plus.

Skills:Proficiency in a range of maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs. Must be able to work from heights.

Adaptability: Ability to handle various tasks and projects with attention to detail and quality.

Communication:Effective communication skills and strong customer service skills to coordinate with project managers and team members.

Safety Conscious: Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Problem-Solving:Strong problem-solving abilities to address maintenance issues and implement effective solutions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks
• Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
• Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
• Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
• Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
• Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
• Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required

Certifications

Any relevant certifications or licenses related to building maintenance are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure

The base pay range for this role is $28 - $30 per hour. This reflects a good‑faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long-term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. Final compensation will be determined by job‑related factors consistent with applicable law.
