Job summary

Google is seeking a Facilities Technician for its data center in Georgia. This role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining complex electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems to ensure reliable power and climate control.

You'll work with contractors, review blueprints, and support startup and integration of new equipment. A technical certification and several years in controls/automation are preferred, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work non-standard shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or equivalent training.
• 5 years of Electrical/Mechanical/HVAC/Controls/Automation experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with PPE and OSHA-compliant practices.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair data center systems and components.
• Review blueprints/schematics and support system tours.
• Manage uptime of water pumps, HVAC, UPS, generators, and distribution.
• Operate and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new equipment.
