Job summary

Google is seeking a Facilities Technician for its U.S. data centers. You will operate, monitor, and support electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, inspect and repair components, and ensure safety and environmental standards are met.

This role requires a technical credential and 5 years of electrical experience in industrial settings; you will work non-standard hours and coordinate with contractors. Salary ranges $105,000–$145,000 with 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent practical training in a related technical field.
• 5 years of electrical experience in industrial or commercial environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use PPE safety equipment.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair data center systems.
• Read blueprints and sequences of operations; conduct system tours.
• Manage uptime for UPS, generators, electrical distribution, and monitoring systems.
• Operate and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new equipment.
