Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Facilities Technician for its West Memphis data centers. You will operate, monitor and support physical facilities conditions for critical systems including HVAC, power distribution, UPS, and safety controls.

The role requires an Associate's degree or related training and 5 years of controls/automation experience in data centers or similar environments. You may lift up to 50 lbs and work non-standard hours; certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+ are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or related technical training required; equivalent practical experience accepted.
• 5 years of experience in controls/automation in industrial or commercial settings.
• Experience with Project Management, Project Controls, Control Panels, Networking Equipment, Data Center Networking and Servers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use OSHA PPE and safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair data center systems including servers, network equipment, PLCs, access control, alarm investigation, and SCADA management.
• Read blueprints/schematics/ladder logic/sequence of operations; conduct tours and assess system condition.
• Control, monitor, log, and alarm data center facilities systems.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions to minimize downtime.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new controls equipment and systems.
