Job summary

SpaceXAI in Memphis is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support non-critical maintenance in our data center. Under close supervision, you'll assist with basic operations and limited maintenance on equipment, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with a small team, follow SOPs, document work performed, and contribute to a reliable, efficient facility that powers our AI-driven mission.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 1+ years of maintenance, facilities, or related hands-on experience (data center a plus).
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing non-critical maintenance and repair work, including general upkeep of facilities and landscape tasks.
• Under supervision, assist in operation of critical equipment as required.
• Assist with limited maintenance on offline critical equipment (e.g., single chiller, CDU filter changes, leak verification).
• Support daily inspections of facilities to identify issues and report them.
• Help maintain spare parts inventory and organize tools and equipment.
• Follow SOPs and safety protocols during all tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to complete maintenance on time.
• Provide support during scheduled system maintenance or minor repairs.
• Document work performed and any issues observed.
• Participate in team trainings and contribute to a collaborative environment.
