Job summary

Google Reno is seeking a Facilities Technician within our Data Center team to operate, monitor and support critical facilities that power our products and services. You will assist with heating, cooling, power distribution, and monitoring systems under supervision.

As a participant in the Facilities Technician Developmental Program, you will learn data center processes, read blueprints, and contribute to daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently to understand and execute instruction and learn via training documentations and presentations.
• Live within 50 miles proximity of Reno, NV.

Responsibilities

• Shadow technicians as they inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems such as piping and mechanical system components.
• Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks, and problem identification to address routine issues by following prescribed procedures under supervision of more senior technicians.
• Use a defined approach to complete subtasks, under direct, day‑to‑day guidance from a manager or senior team members.
