Job summary

Equinix, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and improve critical infrastructure at our Silicon Valley campus. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and support energy efficiency initiatives to ensure continuous operation of electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.

You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams, manage on-site incident responses, and help execute infrastructure projects while following established procedures and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma and 2-4 years of equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderately difficult preventative and corrective maintenance checks on-site to facility components.
• Performs moderately difficult repairs, maintenance, installations and on-site inspections to facility systems. Supports energy efficiency measures.
• Monitors the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and resolves moderately difficult alarm issues requiring judgement.
• Operates and maintains plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems.
• Works under supervision of more senior technical staff and follows SOPs.
