Job summary

Equinix, the world’s digital infrastructure company, seeks an on-site Facilities Maintenance professional in Silicon Valley. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility components, monitor BMS alarms, and support energy efficiency measures while maintaining safety systems and infrastructure.

You’ll work with senior staff on complex tasks and collaborate with vendors on site maintenance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma and 2-4 years of equivalent work experience.
• Experience in facility maintenance operations and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderately difficult preventive and corrective maintenance checks on-site to facility components.
• Performs repairs, maintenance, installations and on-site inspections to facility systems; supports energy efficiency.
• Monitors the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and resolves alarm issues with SOPs.
• Operates and maintains plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems.
• Operates critical infrastructures under supervision of senior staff.
• Completes routine work requests and supports infrastructure projects.
