Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG) seeks an Estimator to support comprehensive cost estimates for data center construction. You will learn electrical quantity takeoffs, apply NECA MLU and RS Means productivity, and develop templates with preconstruction and Op Us teams.

This onsite role is based in Houston, TX, with growth toward independent estimating. You will assist in creating full project estimates in InEight, coordinate with scheduling and procurement, and participate in

Qualifications

Bachelor's or associate degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience.
4–5 years estimating on electrical construction or mission-critical projects.
3+ years estimating or project controls on MEP or electrical construction projects.
Ability to read electrical drawings, one-lines, and specs.
Experience with NECA MLU and RS Means labor productivity frameworks.
Familiarity with data center construction estimating workflows.

Responsibilities

Learn and perform electrical quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs for data center projects.
Research and apply NECA MLU and RS Means labor productivities to estimate electrical installation labor hours.
Develop and maintain standardized estimating templates for data center work with Op Us coordination.
Organize and apply historical project cost data to support estimates and benchmarking.
Develop full project estimates in InEight, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
Support coordination calls with scheduling, procurement, and project teams; participate in bidding activities.
Review RFP packages, drawings and specs to assist with scope, exceptions and clarifications.
Engage in site visits, scope reviews and internal bid reviews as required.
Compile data, populate reports, and prepare summaries for management and stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools and workflows.
