Job summary

Amazon’s data center team in Frederick, MD seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to perform hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance, monitor life-safety and power systems, and support critical facility operations to sustain 99.999% uptime.

You will collaborate with engineers and specialists, travel between sites as needed, and work rotating shifts up to 12 hours. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge data center infrastructure and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• Conduct PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical write-ups to support change management programs.
