AWS Data Center Engineering Operations role involves on-the-floor maintenance of mission-critical electrical and mechanical systems, including generators, UPS, PDUs, cooling equipment, and fire/life safety devices.
You will perform daily rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, troubleshoot events, install and decommission racks, write change documentation, and coordinate with contractors; shifts up to 12 hours and may rotate.

Our Data Center Engineering Operations team maintains and operates critical infrastructure systems so that our facilities are prepared to stand up against any situation.
This role acts as Amazon’s front line for hands‑on electrical and mechanical equipment preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting, reporting to a site’s Data Center Facility Manager (FM). It involves maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting mission‑critical data center facility equipment, including standby diesel generators, 3‑phase electrical systems, UPS units, PDUs, wet‑cell batteries, mechanical cooling equipment (CRAHU units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, water systems, air handlers), pumps, motors, fire/life safety equipment, building automation systems, and general facilities equipment.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The team supports all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continuous access for our customers. You will collaborate with software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other roles to deliver the highest safety and security standards while optimizing capacity and cost.

USD 37.00 – 65.00 hourly in the following locations:
