Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities. The role supports the operations of mission-critical data centers, maintaining and operating electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems to ensure 24/7 reliability and availability.
This role acts as Amazon’s front line for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting, reporting to a site’s Data Center Facility Manager (FM). Responsibilities include maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting mission-critical data center facility equipment including stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, 3-phase electrical systems (switchgear, UPS, PDUs, batteries) and associated systems. Mechanical equipment includes CRAHU units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, water systems, air handlers, pumps and motors, plus fire/life safety, building automation systems, and general facilities equipment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Base pay for this position ranges from $59,600/year to $133,200/year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company; depending on the role, equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
