Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians in Warrenton, VA. You will be on the front lines, operating and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and safety systems in a 24/7 data center environment.

The role requires a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and eventual TS/SCI with polygraph, plus the ability to work 12‑hour shifts on rotating schedules. You will troubleshoot equipment, perform limited maintenance, manage CMMS workflows, and

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI security clearance with eligibility (or ability to obtain)
Willing to pursue TS/SCI with polygraph after selection
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and 12‑hour rotating shifts

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, generator, and fire/life safety equipment in the data center
Troubleshoot facility equipment and rack‑level events within internal SLAs
Perform limited maintenance tasks (filters, HVAC PMs, rack power, PDU, ATS)
Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance
Take daily operational readings (temp, volt, current) during rounds
Use CMMS to manage building workflows and spare parts inventory
Respond to off hour emergency calls per on‑call rotation
Work at heights, in uneven terrain, and lift up to 39 pounds (40+ with group lifts)
