Job description

What success looks like in this role:

• Provider Field Engineers will provide troubleshooting, repair, parts ordering, preventative maintenance, and installation of Dell products located at customer sites.
• Triaging issues with direction from Dell Support.
• Executing plans of action from Dell Domain Engineer/L3.
• Documenting POA results, logs, and service reports (parts numbers/PPID of replaced parts) to Dell via case email.
• Reseating, swapping, or replacing parts.
• Server testing and validation (running diagnostics, capturing, and uploading logs).
• Upgrading firmware as needed.
• Managing parts locker, inbound and outbound parts.
• Managing spare parts during CW server deployments.
• Returning parts to Dell.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• A high school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification or an associate degree may be required.
• Generally, 4-6 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
