Job summary

Cboe Global Markets is seeking a Datacenter Engineer to support our critical infrastructure at Chicago area data centers. This hands-on role installs, maintains, and troubleshoots datacenter hardware, cabling, and supporting infrastructure across colocation facilities.

The position is a 2nd shift (Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00pm–11:00pm) with potential 10% shift differential and on-site requirements. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and NOC to resolve issues and drive reliable

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in datacenter support.
Experience with racking, cabling and troubleshooting server, storage, and network equipment.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in datacenter environments.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain servers, network devices, storage systems, and cabling.
Perform structured cabling testing, routing, labeling, and documentation.
Execute daily MAC tasks including equipment installs, moves, and rack/cable upgrades.
Monitor environmental conditions (power, cooling, temperatures) and escalate issues.
Collaborate with Engineering and NOC to troubleshoot hardware, application and connectivity issues.
Maintain inventories, rack elevations, cable maps and documentation standards.
Respond to datacenter incidents and support new equipment rollouts.
