Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a data center operations professional to support server deployments, hardware troubleshooting, and rack-and-stack in a large-scale Austin environment.

The role requires strong documentation practices, familiarity with Linux/Windows, and experience with inventory control and change management. Candidates should be comfortable scripting in Python or Bash and using Jira for workflow tracking.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data center operations or infrastructure support.
• Hands-on experience with server deployments, hardware troubleshooting, break/fix work, cabling, rack-and-stack, and decommissioning.
• Experience maintaining operational documentation, including SOPs, MOPs, rack elevations, asset records, and troubleshooting guides.
• Strong understanding of server hardware, Linux/Windows fundamentals, power, cooling, and network infrastructure.
• Experience with inventory management, audits, ticketing systems, and change management.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and document findings clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and experience working in large-scale data center environments.
• Scripting or automation experience with Python, Bash, APIs, Jira, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of data center facilities and infrastructure.
• Deploy servers and perform hardware troubleshooting, break/fix, cabling, and rack-and-stack tasks.
• Maintain and update SOPs, MOPs, rack elevations, asset records, and troubleshooting guides.
• Troubleshoot server hardware, network, power, and cooling issues; document findings.
• Assist with inventory audits, change management processes, and ticketing workflows.
• Collaborate with teams to improve reliability and efficiency in a large-scale data center.
• Develop scripts or automation to streamline recurring tasks where possible.

Shift: either 8am-5pm or 11am-8pm (some OT and weekend work as needed)
