• Experience in Integration expertise, technical analysis, and critical data analysis skills related to overall system architecture.
• Understanding of large-scale facility cooling and related infrastructure systems for data centers or equivalent critical, industrial automation, and controls systems design with an understanding of stack integration.

Through your leadership, you use your technical expertise to lead cross-functional teams to develop infrastructure improvements. You manage a team of engineers and assign Googlers to projects based on their capabilities and the project's demands.

As a Data Center Engineering Manager you will lead a team of talented electrical engineers and play a pivotal role in the design, development, and delivery of Google's global data center electrical infrastructure. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in complex, mission-critical facilities, with a strong emphasis on large-scale data center electrical systems. You will be instrumental in guiding projects from initial site assessments and concept design through greenfield construction and major modifications of existing facilities.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$302,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of electrical engineers, setting priorities and providing regular feedback and coaching to support organizational goals.
• Collaborate with core teams to understand, evaluate, and develop DC electrical designs from Basis of Design (BOD) to Issue for Construction (IFC) for new data center projects.
• Support long-term planning and delivery of HV substation infrastructure across North and South America, interfacing closely with Energy and Land Strategy (ELS) and Front End Planning (FEP) teams.
• Provide expert technical support and guidance for the development of new data center infrastructure products related to HV, MV, and LV systems.
