Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs seeks an experienced commissioning engineer to lead data center commissioning programs across multiple projects. The role requires deep expertise in L1–L5 commissioning and hands-on deployment of critical infrastructure, including switchgear, UPS, and PDUs.

You will review construction drawings, P&IDs, and test procedures, and manage third-party commissioning agents to meet scope, schedule, and quality targets. Expect extensive travel to Brighton and deployment sites.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in data center commissioning across multiple projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, equiv. commissioning exp.
• Expert knowledge of L1–L5 commissioning and testing requirements.
• Working knowledge of electrical distribution (switchgear, UPS, PDUs).
• Hands-on commissioning experience with data center infrastructure.
• Experience developing and running factory acceptance or factory witness testing for modular equipment.
• Ability to review construction drawings, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, sequences of operation, submittals, and test procedures.
• Track record managing third-party commissioning agents and ensuring scope, schedule & quality.
• Willingness to travel to the Brighton factory and deployment sites up to 75%.
