Job summary

Oracle is seeking an experienced electrical engineering leader to drive design and technical direction for data center projects. You will guide cross-functional teams, ensure robust electrical systems, and mentor junior engineers to build capability across the organization.

This role requires extensive experience with data center power, grounding, protection, and commissioning, plus strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years experience in electrical engineering design, construction, commissioning, or owner-side technical leadership for mission critical facilities, data centers, or similarly complex infrastructure.
• Strong working knowledge of data center electrical systems including power generation, storage and delivery, grounding, lightning protection, fire alarm, etc.
• Experience developing technical standards, basis of design documents, owner’s requirements, specifications, whitepapers, or design guidance.
• Demonstrated ability to review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, commissioning documents, and equipment submittals.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholder groups, including hardware, mechanical, controls, architecture, structural, construction, operations, procurement, and external design partners.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to evaluate complex technical issues, make risk-based recommendations, and drive alignment across internal and external teams.
• Experience with high-density compute environments and liquid cooling technologies preferred.
• Professional Engineering license preferred.

• Leads and manages electrical engineering design and technical direction for assigned data center projects.
• Provides guidance and engineering leadership to ensure projects meet company expectations.
• Interacts with other engineering disciplines and colocation providers to ensure robust electrical systems.
• Develops training and mentoring programs for newer team members.
• Contributes to creating and maintaining best-in-class policies and procedures.
• Solves complex, cross-functional issues and advocates system-level enhancements.
• Acts as SME on multiple systems and leads internal/external seminars.
