AmLaw 100 Law Firm in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced energy regulatory associate for an in-office role. The position may consider candidates in NYC, Austin, Denver, and San Francisco, with a focus on complex energy matters and sophisticated client service.

The ideal candidate has 3–6+ years of significant law firm energy regulatory experience, strong relationships with energy users, and a track record of managing multi-party transactions.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of significant law firm experience in energy regulatory law, power markets, infrastructure transactions, or related energy matters.
• Experience advising data center developers, hyperscalers, or large energy users.
• Experience in digital infrastructure, co-located generation, or large-scale energy procurement.
• Experience with regulatory proceedings before FERC, state public utility commissions, and appellate courts preferred.
• Proactive with strong business sense and the ability to manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.
• Able to communicate complex matters concisely and effectively, orally and in writing, with a commitment to excellent client service.
