Job summary

Job Description:

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Data Center Design Management team is a collaborative group of architects, engineers, and technical specialists responsible for delivering high-performance infrastructure that powers the Oracle Cloud. We are seeking a Data Center Design Manager to support the execution and coordination of design across our global portfolio of data centers.

As a key member of the Design Management team, you will assist in the planning, review, and coordination of design activities with consultants, internal stakeholders, and external development partners. Your role will focus on ensuring that design packages meet OCI’s program standards, support operational efficiency, and are aligned with project goals. Job Summary:

In this role, you will manage assigned portions of the design process for both new builds and retrofit projects. You’ll support the delivery of design documentation, provide technical coordination, and assist with early-stage due diligence. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge in MEP systems, the ability to manage multiple design packages simultaneously, and a passion for delivering best-in-class data center infrastructure.

You will work under the direction of senior team members and collaborate closely with OCI’s engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:

• Support the full lifecycle of design activities for data center projects, including planning, consultant coordination, and design review
• Assist with the development and tracking of project design schedules and deliverables
• Review consultant design packages (SD, DD, IFC) for alignment with OCI standards and technical requirements
• Coordinate with internal teams including construction, operations, and network infrastructure
• Support technical due diligence for lease and greenfield opportunities
• Identify design risks, elevate issues, and help drive resolution in coordination with senior design leads
• Provide QA/QC on design submissions and support compliance with Oracle’s documentation standards
• Participate in internal design reviews and cross-functional design workshops
• Help maintain internal design templates, standards, and technical documentation.
