Job summary

Kent Data Centres is seeking client-facing Technical Project Managers / Data Centre SMEs to lead engagements across the Americas. Based in Houston or Dallas with travel, you will own client relationships and drive data center design from feasibility to handover, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring design excellence.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, deep knowledge of data center cooling and adherence to US codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field is required.
• Typically 7+ years of relevant mechanical design/engineering experience in data centers.
• Experience in engineering consultancy or data-center design environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of data center cooling systems and critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own client relationships and act as the primary technical contact across data center design engagements.
• Lead mechanical design and technical delivery from feasibility through design, construction support and handover.
• Coordinate internal and external engineering specialists to deliver high-quality designs.
• Develop Basis of Design, design criteria, narratives, specifications and deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership across cooling infrastructure including CRAH/CRAC systems, pumps and controls.
• Review drawings, calculations, equipment selections and submissions for design intent and compliance.
• Manage interfaces with electrical, controls/BMS, ICT/ELV, civil and commissioning teams.
