Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Elmendorf, TX, with travel to San Antonio sites, seeks a Decommissioning Technician to securely process legacy data center equipment and sanitize customer media.

You will work in a team to execute rack deployment, decommissioning and hardware troubleshooting, all while adhering to strict SOPs. Ideal candidates have 2+ years hardware and 1+ year networking experience, and must hold TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Engage in physical data center activities including capacity planning, rack deployment, rack cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning.
• Lift and move material up to 49 pounds and work in cramped/elevated locations.
• Maintain SOPs to protect customer data and ensure secure handling of equipment.
• Collaborate across teams to drive issue resolution and uphold service levels.
