CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Day Technician to resolve day-to-day work orders and ensure timely completion to meet client satisfaction targets.

You will be part of the Critical and Technical Services function, handling maintenance in high-security client environments and supporting a collaborative team with structured procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of related experience.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and perform required physical tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and clear, concise communication.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety and security requirements by contractors and staff.
  • Participate in the critical services training program.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Data Center Day Technician, you will resolve and complete day-to-day work orders to meet client satisfaction targets and ensure completion in the time frame required.

This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.

What You’ll Do:
  • Maintain an up-to-date log of work completed and outstanding items through the in-house system.
  • Ensure that all contractors and staff comply with all company, client safety, and security requirements.
  • Participate in the critical services training program.
  • Ensure effective communication with the client and management team is maintained.
  • Operate as a team with other technicians by sharing expertise and experience to help resolve operational problems.
  • Provide holiday, training & sickness cover for other members of the shift team.
  • Track and complete Critical Services Planned Preventative Maintenance and provide condition assessments of plant and equipment.
  • Log and action all out-of-line situations with incident reports.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
