U.S. Bank is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Senior Underwriter to manage portfolio risk and guide credit decisions.

The role focuses on underwriting CRE assets, including data centers, and coordinating with Credit, Loan Administration, and other teams to ensure quality credit documents and efficient workflows. The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree with 10+ years in commercial lending, strong analytical writing, and excels in cross-functional collaboration.

Competenze

• Master's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ten+ years of commercial lending experience.
• Strong CRE underwriting across multiple property types (cash flow, valuation, sponsor analysis, structure, covenants).
• Experience underwriting data centers.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills; translate diligence into credit narratives.
• Strong verbal and written communication; collaborate across teams.
• Proficiency in Excel cash flow modeling.

Mansioni

• Underwrite new originations and portfolio exposures for a broad range of CRE asset classes.
• Analyze borrower financials, property cash flows, collateral valuation, sponsor strength, covenant sensitivities, and market conditions.
• Prepare clear, comprehensive written credit analyses and supporting documentation.
• Execute straightforward credit requests for existing clients with limited supervision.
• Assist with annual company-wide credit reviews for clients with multiple property holdings.
• Underwrite credit opportunities for data centers and related facilities.
• Support existing property transactions and ground-up construction projects with budget monitoring and draw reviews.
• Collaborate with Credit Approvers and risk partners; participate in client meetings.
