Cumming Group is seeking a Cost Manager to join our data center project in Canton, Ohio. You will oversee cost management throughout the construction lifecycle, collaborating with project management, estimators, and commercial teams to keep budgets on track.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of cost management experience in construction, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and a proven ability to analyze proposals, prepare forecasts, and communicate cost information clearly to clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required/specified.
• 3–5+ years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, estimating or related construction discipline.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, estimating methodologies and project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and accurately estimate assigned scopes of work based on project documents.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and other cost management reports.
• Prepare subcontractor analysis and bid comparison sheets for assigned scopes of work.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor proposals, change orders, and cost impacts.
• Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and potential cost risks.
• Assist with change management, cost reconciliation, and project reporting.
• Provide accurate and timely cost information to clients and project teams.
• Work with project management, estimating, and commercial teams.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of project cost plans and related documentation.
