Job summary

ATS Automation is seeking a Construction Cost Control Engineer within our Critical Facilities Group to support the financial management of data center construction projects. You’ll develop budgets, track costs, review invoices, and manage supplier and subcontractor financials to keep projects on track.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and a minimum of 3 years in cost engineering, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail. Full-time, exempt position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, finance, or equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cost engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of construction contract agreements and change order processes preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed, cost-effective project budgets.
• Monitor project costs, revenue, and spending trends to forecast outcomes.
• Prepare and review invoices, forecast cash flow, and review purchase orders.
• Analyze transactions and adjust forecasts for changing costs.
• Maintain organized financial records for audits.
• Prepare cost analyses and reports to show project performance.
• Identify financial risks, variances, and cost concerns to teams.
