Job summary

Vertech in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Application Engineer for Data Center Controls & SCADA to develop project scopes, estimates, and proposals. You will translate customer requirements into firm technical specs and serve as a liaison between customers, sales, and engineering.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Controls or equivalent
• Strong fundamentals in electrical and mechanical systems
• Experience translating customer requirements into technical scope

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with Data Center clients to evaluate system requirements for controls and SCADA solutions
• Lead technical discovery conversations to clarify customer objectives and operating requirements
• Translate verbal or incomplete customer requirements into clearly defined technical scope
• Develop formal proposals aligned with Vertech’s brand standards and collaborate with BD/Estimating teams
• Create cost estimates including engineering labor, field labor, and BOMs
• Manage scope changes during pursuit and pre-award phases and support execution handoff
