Job summary

Data Center Frontier LLC is seeking a Mechanical Controls Engineer for a data center environment. The role leads automation design, mentors engineers, and designs platforms for HVAC controls while coordinating with electrical and mechanical teams on project sequences and operations.

The candidate should have 5–10+ years in building management systems, experience with major BAS protocols, and a strong ability to read drawings and CADs. Travel up to 5–10% may be required.

Qualifications

• BA / BS in Engineering or relevant degree (huge plus).
• Licensed PE / EIT / certifications a plus.
• Data Center engineering experience with automation and controls.
• Experience integrating PLC/ALC with complex data center facilities.
• 5–10+ years with BMS/BCM/BAS systems.
• Experience with BAS protocols: BACnet IP, BACnet MSTP, Modbus RTU/TCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation design teams of complex scope and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Mentor engineers and assist with controls design training.
• Design and implement front end platforms for HVAC controls.
• Develop and improve configuration, programming, networking, and diagnostics standards.
• Engineer and implement programming and sequence of operations.
