Job summary

Element Critical is seeking a Data Center Controls Engineer to join the Facility Operations team. You will lead commissioning of BAS, BMS and EPMS systems, ensuring reliability of HVAC and electrical infrastructure, and manage 3rd party vendors to meet project goals.

The role requires collaboration with design and operations teams, development of control automation, and building strong documentation and incident response practices to support critical facilities operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years in data center or critical facilities.
• 5 years with Building Management Systems, PLC programming, SCADA architecture.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and operations teams to develop and enforce automation logic.
• Oversee commissioning life-cycle for BAS, BMS, EPMS systems and ensure reliability.
• Lead vendor vetting, submittals, RFI reviews and alignment with project schedules.
• Maintain controls documentation, SAPs/OOEMs, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
