Mortenson in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an experienced Scheduler I to perform routine planning and scheduling assignments using basic scheduling principles with oversight. You will support project teams and draft schedules with CPM tools.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or engineering, with knowledge of Primavera P6 or Power Project a plus. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in a cross-functional,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Prior construction job site experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles and company software.
• Basic knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencing.
• Creativity and mature judgement in problem solving.
• Plan and specification reading, review, and interpretation skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative.
• Delivery-focused to ensure accurate and timely results.
• Active listening and effective communication with diverse input.
• Strong organization skills and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Power Project software is a plus.

• Draft schedules using CPM tools with oversight.
