Data Center Construction Project Manager - Owner's Rep - Fort Worth, TX

This opportunity is with a leading provider of mission-critical data center solutions as an Owner’s Rep for Construction Services. This firm provides a complete life cycle of solutions that are custom-fit to the requirements of their client's mission-critical facilities. We are seeking a Data Center Construction Project Manager to oversee critical facility construction projects. The Construction PM will manage all aspects of data center construction projects, acting on the Owner's behalf. Responsibilities include providing leadership to contractors and vendors involved in project delivery. The candidate will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and ensuring scope and quality meet Company Standards and project objectives. The ideal candidate should be highly organized and proficient with administrative tasks such as change orders, budgets, and paperwork.

Responsibilities :

  1. Maintain communication with contractors and vendors to manage daily activities impacting project delivery.
  2. Ensure contractors and vendors meet daily project responsibilities.
  3. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including contract negotiations, scheduling, and timeline management.
  4. Develop project plans covering sizing, costs, budgets, schedules, and change management.
  5. Assist with reporting and RFPs to contractors.
  6. Deliver Built-to-Suit projects with a focus on value-engineering.
  7. Enforce company standards for project delivery among all participants.
  8. Manage financial aspects of contracts, including billing, equipment rental, and expenses, while maintaining good client relationships.
  9. Represent the company in project meetings.
  10. Coordinate with all company departments as a key liaison.
  11. Maintain logs to track project progress.

Qualifications :

  1. Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or General Contractor.
  2. Experience managing budgets.
  3. Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry.
  4. Membership in professional organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7x24 Exchange, PTC, Datacenter Dynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow, etc.
  5. Strong client relationship and management skills.
  6. Familiarity with the design process of building systems for data centers and mission-critical projects.
  7. Effective communication skills via email, phone, and face-to-face interactions.
  8. Ability to work independently.
  9. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  10. Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD preferred.
  11. Military experience or veteran status is a significant plus, especially with electrical/mechanical backgrounds such as Navy nukes, Coast Guard, Army, Air Force, or related fields.
