Data Center Construction Project Manager - Dallas, TX

This opportunity is with a leading general contractor specializing in data center construction services. We are seeking a Data Center Construction Project Manager to oversee critical facility construction projects. The project manager will be responsible for all aspects of managing data center construction, providing leadership to contractors and vendors, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to company standards and objectives. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in administrative tasks such as change orders, budgeting, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and organize large-scale data center construction projects (minimum $30 million)
• Manage data center construction projects with 10-15 years of experience
• Develop project plans including scope, costs, scheduling, and timelines
• Coordinate with clients, A/E firms, owner's representatives, and vendors to facilitate construction activities
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards aligned with corporate policies
• Manage financial aspects including progress billing, equipment rentals, and expenses to protect company interests
• Oversee MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) aspects of projects

Qualifications:

• Experience managing data center construction projects with design/build firms, including new builds and fit-outs
• Relevant industry experience in data center construction
• Proven track record managing projects with budgets between $25MM and $100MM+
• Client relationship management skills
• Knowledge of building systems design for data centers and mission-critical facilities
• Business development experience, including creating RFPs and RFIs
• Strong project management and construction experience
• Military background or veterans with electrical/mechanical experience (e.g., Navy nukes, Seabees, Army power specialists, etc.) is a plus
