Job summary

Google's AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what's possible by delivering AI and Infrastructure at scale. The Program Manager will lead data center projects from concept to construction and deployment, coordinating cross-functional partners across offices and time zones.

You will manage requirements, schedules, risks, and budgets, ensuring quality and efficiency while mentoring junior team members and aligning with Google's standards for safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• 5 years of experience with technical teams responsible for project management, engineering, and construction of data centers or mission critical facilities.
• 5 years of experience with electrical, mechanical, controls, security monitoring, fire safety, networking/fiber, server equipment, systems, or infrastructure.
• Ability to be onsite 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple data center projects from inception to completion, overseeing all phases, including concept development, design, construction, and deployment.
• Gather and analyze internal requirements, translating them into effective solutions that meet the needs of our data center operations teams.
• Work effectively within an organization, collaborating with cross-functional partners, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
• Analyze and evaluate construction issues, developing creative solutions that minimize impact on project timelines and costs.
