Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC in DeKalb, IL seeks an experienced Project Supervisor for data center construction and structured cabling projects.

You will manage teams of 100+ across multiple sites, ensure safety program management aligned with OSHA standards, and oversee quality control, scheduling, and union compliance on large-scale deployments.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience on large multi-million-dollar projects focused on the installation of Structured Cabling Systems.
• Managing teams of 100+ across large, geographically dispersed projects and construction sites.
• Experience overseeing mission-critical infrastructure cabling installations for Data Center new builds and retrofit projects.
• Union rules and regulations and labor compliance knowledge.
• Experience leading union telecom crews and understanding work jurisdiction and collective bargaining agreements.
• OSHA-30 Hour certification (required within first six months)
• BICSI Technician (TECH) and BICSI RCDD certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise large-scale data center cabling installations and schedules.
• Ensure adherence to safety programs and OSHA standards.
• Develop and monitor Quality Control Programs for projects.
• Interviewing/hiring and onboarding project staff as needed.
• Coordinate with unions and manage labor compliance across sites.
