Job summary
MGAC's Critical Environments team is seeking a Data Center Construction – Mid to Senior Commissioning Project Manager to lead commissioning strategy on large-scale data center projects in North America. The role focuses on owner representation, risk mitigation, and delivering facilities ready for operations.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commissioning and 3+ years leading teams, with strong knowledge of electrical distribution, UPS, HVAC, BMS/SCADA, and a track record of driving projects
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commissioning or data center projects.
- 3+ years managing commissioning teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (equivalent experience considered).
- Extensive experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data centers.
- Experience leading Level 1-5 commissioning activities for complex systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning teams across multiple data center projects.
- Develop commissioning strategies, schedules, and execution plans.
- Provide technical leadership through design, construction, testing, and turnover.
- Mentor team members and drive quality, safety, and accountability.
- Oversee equipment start-up, IST, load testing, and operational readiness.
