Job summary

Edison Smart® is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning program on a large data center project. You’ll own Cx delivery from design review through IST and handover, managing the Cx team, coordinating with the GC, trades, and owner to ensure critical systems are delivered to spec and on schedule.

Responsibilities include leading L1–L5 commissioning, mentoring a team of electrical and mechanical engineers, developing the Cx plan, reviewing design docs, and overseeing

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commissioning experience, with at least 3 in a lead or management role.
• Proven track record on hyperscale or colocation data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of critical power (MV/LV switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs) and mechanical systems (chillers, CRAHs, cooling towers, liquid cooling).
• Experience leading L4/L5 and IST on mission critical facilities.
• Familiarity with Cx tools and platforms (Cx Alloy, BIM 360, Procore).
• Certifications such as CxA, CCP, BCxP or a PE are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full commissioning process (L1–L5), including planning, scheduling and execution.
• Manage and mentor a team of electrical and mechanical commissioning engineers.
• Develop and maintain the Cx plan, scripts, checklists and the issues log.
• Review design documents, submittals and specifications for commission ability.
• Coordinate closely with the owner, GC, MEP contractors, vendors and the controls team.
• Oversee factory witness testing (FWT), pre-functional checks and functional performance testing.
• Lead Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and resolve issues through to closeout.
• Track progress, report to stakeholders and flag risks to programme early.
• Make sure all documentation, turnover packages and O&M handover are complete.
