Job summary

JLL in the United States is seeking a Data Center Commissioning Professional to support rapid growth in the Atlanta metro area, with travel to projects across the US and Canada. This full-time role focuses on applying commissioning processes and leading installation oversight for data center systems.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of engineering/field-testing experience, 3–5 years of third-party commissioning for data centers, and hands-on experience with 25+MW facilities, plus proficiency

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of engineering/field-testing experience.
• 3–5 years providing third-party commissioning services for data center projects.
• Experience as Electrical/Mechanical/Controls third-party Commissioning Engineer on 25+MW data center projects.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and data management.

Responsibilities

• Apply commissioning processes per ASHRAE guidelines across all project phases.
• Lead electrical and mechanical equipment installation oversight and startup inspections.
• Collaborate with Owners, Contractors, Inspectors, AHJs, Engineers of Record, Vendors, and Manufacturers.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose critical mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
• Manage multiple concurrent commissioning activities with clear stakeholder communications.
• Develop and review L1-L5 commissioning test scripts, SOPs, and MOPs.
• Conduct network diagnostic testing, heat load testing, scenario testing, and integrated systems testing.
• Perform commissioning-focused design drawing, specification, and submittal reviews.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports and compile project documentation into Systems Manuals.
